I'm Yuval — a graphic designer based in Israel with over 27 years of practice in visual communication. I work with institutions, researchers, technology companies and financial organisations that need to communicate consequential ideas to demanding audiences.

Nearly 30 years in.
Still curious.

My name is Yuval. I'm a graphic designer with nearly 30 years of experience in visual communication, most of them running my own studio. I work mainly with institutions, organisations and companies — but I discovered long ago that even with large clients, everything begins with a connection between people.

This is a demanding profession. What keeps me going after all these years is curiosity. Every new client or project exposes me to something unfamiliar, reveals something I didn't know, and sometimes offers a chance to do something I've never tried before. In return, I try to bring something of myself to every project.

Over the years I've invested in expanding my world — in things directly related to design and in things that aren't. You never know where inspiration will come from. I've taken courses in calligraphy, type design and comics. I studied arts therapy and reflexology, and taught design at the Avni Institute. I practise yoga, love music, dancing, walking in the fields with my dog, and playing board games with my family.

The technological advances of recent years pose a real challenge to my profession — but they also carry enormous opportunity. This website was built with the help of AI, something that wasn't possible for me just a year ago.

Clarity is a form of respect

Dense, confusing communication is not neutral — it costs people time and trust. Every design decision I make is aimed at reducing friction between an idea and the person it needs to reach.

The brief is a starting point

I'm not here to execute instructions. I'm here to understand what you're actually trying to achieve and find the best way to get there — which sometimes means pushing back on the brief.

Work that ages well

I have no interest in design that looks exciting today and dated in three years. I'm drawn to solutions that are rooted in logic and craft — the kind that keep working long after the conversation is over.

Discretion as standard

Many of my clients work on sensitive material — unpublished research, pre-announcement communications, confidential strategy. I treat that with the same seriousness they do. Always.

How a project
actually works

Conversation first

Before any design work, we talk. I want to understand the audience, the context, the constraints, and what success looks like. A short brief conversation saves a lot of revision later.

Structure before aesthetics

Every project starts with information architecture — what needs to be said, in what order, to whom. Visual decisions come after, not before.

Focused rounds of feedback

I present work with reasoning, not just visuals. Feedback rounds are structured to be efficient — I'm not interested in endless iteration for its own sake.

Delivery that works for you

Final files are delivered in the format you actually need — not just what's convenient for me. That includes templates, guidelines and handover documentation for anything that will be updated internally.
